Kitchen Hutch Remodel Redo

A few years ago we did a Kitchen Hutch Remodel on a hutch we found on Craigslist. We painted the hutch a cream color and it went really well with our kitchen and worked great for storage. During the move however it got a little beat up by our movers (aka my husband and father in law). But that's okay because it was time to update the hutch anyway.

The above left picture is the hutch when we got it, the right is the finished cream hutch at our old house. We replaced the hideous plastic door covers with metal netting. You can get the full update on this original kitchen hutch remodel here.

I painted the updated hutch a pale yellow. It goes really well with our kitchen and all of the other colors in it. I am really happy with the pale yellow hutch now. I thought about going bold with it but it just wasn't going to work with the rest of the kitchen.

This picture shows the pale yellow much better. I also love that the yellow makes the details stand out so much better on the woodwork. This hutch was really designed so well and has amazing details.

So what do you think about my pale yellow kitchen hutch remodel redo? Haha it's kind of a mouth full but it seemed appropriate. This big beauty was kind of a handful when we were moving here.

What color would you paint a kitchen hutch?

What are you Hutching Up Next?

Once upon a time in a land far far away I did a kitchen hutch remodel and I really struggled with painting it a neutral color that would match everything and doing something fun. So as we are getting ready to move and buy a new house I am looking at fun ways to redo my hutch! I am really loving all of these fun hutches and I think their creators did amazing jobs on them!

I really love the natural look of this hutch, the gray look is something I am very much a fan of. I also like how they have used this as display for basic items that everyone has in their home. This is a great size also, our hutch is BIG and its heavy, so it only fits in some places.

I LOVE the color of this hutch. I love the details in the legs and the bottom woodwork. I also love how she has done a fun back for this. I really like this hutch and I love how she has displayed her China in it. This is a great color, I am definitely a fan of it, I don't know if I could talk Jarr into it though.

Since we are talking about color lets talk about this minty green beauty. I really love the size of this hutch, I think it is perfect for a bathroom and I would like to snatch it and use it in my house. I really like that their are glass doors so nothing gets gross, because that happens in bathrooms. Well in my house that happens in every room with furbabies.

I've decided that hutches don't have to be a certain size necessarily. I think this yellow beauty is great for sheets, towels, and all those other household goods. I really like the color of this cabinet and can't get over the turn key lock. I am seriously lusting over this color though.

I am really digging how they took the doors off of this hutch and are using it for towels and bathroom items. I think that is such a smart idea. I think this color would go great in almost any home and could be very versatile. I also really love the detail of this piece, the top and bottom design is great.

Which hutch is your favorite?
