My boyfriend lives in his great grandparents old house in a very small country town. Behind the house is this old barn, it is falling down and a catch all for junk that the family doesn't want. Well yesterday I decided to go exploring in the barn and see if I could find any treasures.
This is the barn from the outside walking towards it.
This is the inside of the barn, see all the trash they have just thrown inside. Well some of the things in here are treasures they just need to be found.
This is another look at the inside of the barn.
I wasn't very brave and didn't make it much farther then the door, I have an extreme fear of snakes and skunks, both of which I am sure live in this barn. But I did find some goodies right inside the door that didn't take much work to get at all. I have been able to see some of the other treasures I would like to get but I'll have to wait until a day my boyfriend is here and can go in for me to get them. :) if you haven't figured it out yet I am a big chicken when it comes to scary things like this.
These are the treasures I found yesterday. I love these bottles.
These are gallon glass jars and I am in love with them. They were coated in a thick layer of dirt but they are so beautiful. I have so many ideas for these babies, I am so excited I found them. The best part is there are about 3-4 more of these guys inside the barn. I just couldn't get to them without climbing on top of a bunch of things and that was not about to happen.
I love this latter. I have been looking for an old one I could use to make a shelf out of and who knew it would be in the old barn. It is pretty sturdy and very well made. I love the wood on it and I'm looking forward to cleaning it up and decided where to put it.
Here is a preview of what I have coming tomorrow
I'm so excited to show you all the wonderful things I have come up with. I finally decide what to do about this little shelf, I just went for it. I am very happy with the results I have.

Morgan, I came over from Winthrop because junky and old barn in the same title has too much promise in it. Girl, you have found a rust goddess's heaven. As some one who has crawled in, under and once over old sheds and barns, it is not the big critters that bother you, it is the spiders!. Get yourself a loud air horn (boat horn in a can) to announce your presence and start exploring. I am your newest follower to make sure you mine the treasures in that barn!
