Last Day

Well today is my last day at my job. I have been here for two years as a student secretary and I have really enjoyed this job. I have learned a lot about myself these last two years and about how I work with other people. We have had a lot of changes in my office since I have been here and it has been interesting to watch us grow. I have made some friends I will have forever at this job and there are some people I won't miss seeing everyday.

In my two years at Distance I have become the Senior Student Secretary, a fancy way to say I've been here the longest and know the most. I have created and designed a student guide in a 4 day time period and sent it to press. I have filmed countless events and helped organize the entire office in a summer. I have filed countless papers, sent hundreds of faxes, and given numerous exams. I have answered thousands of phone calls and delt with tons of professors and students. I have also had a lot of laughs at this job and spent quite a few nights working late and eating pizza with my coworkers.

I will miss Distance and the family I have here. These people are my work family and I have come use to seeing them everyday and working with them. In the last two years I have spent a lot of time with them on and off the job. It will be hard to leave this office today and know I will never come back in. This has been the constant in my life for the last two years and even though I know I am doing the right thing for my future it will still be hard to leave this.

So as I am bidding farewell to my Distance family and remembering all of the good times we have had I am also looking forward to the new adventures. I will never have another job like this one and that makes me sad and also excited for what is to come. So here is to the start of a new adventure!

What new adventures are you starting?

30 before 30

I have heard about people making lists of things they want to do before they are a certain age and I always though it was so cool. I realized the other day that hey I'm actually old enough to do that now. Before, when I still lived at home under my mom's rules it made things difficult because I was poor and I was still in high school and didn't have all of the freedoms I do now. So I decided that since I'm 20 and I have 10 years to accomplish these things why not try it.

So I am making a challenge for myself, some things are important to me and some are things most people want. This is some of my bucket list for myself but that would take a lot more time and pages to put it all up here. I will be blogging about all of the challenges as I am doing them and they are happening so I hope you will follow along.

Here is my list
  1. Graduate college
  2. Get a Master's degree
  3. Go to Europe
  4. Scuba dive 5 times (5 separate trips)
  5. Buy a Mac
  6. Go on a girls trip
  7. Go to Vegas
  8. Blog every day for a month
  9. Work at a summer camp
  10. Buy a plane ticket to the first place available and go
  11. Volunteer every Saturday for 3 months somewhere
  12. Plan the wedding of my dreams
  13. Have a successful career (my own definition of successful)
  14. Live in another state
  15. Have date night once a week for a year
  16. Go on a cruise
  17. Go backpacking
  18. Start/finish writing a book
  19. Go to New York City
  20. Visit the coasts
  21. Run a 5K
  22. Give something to a total stranger
  23. Go on a mission trip
  24. Donate to a charity
  25. Teach a Sunday School class/children's church
  26. Start a family
  27. Make a quilt
  28. Try a new recipe every week for a year

If I have finished something I will strike through it and if I am currently working on something I will put it in italics.
What would be on your list?

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

Well this week has definitely been interesting to say the least. I am really glad that this week is over and tonight is the Olympics and I can just relax and watch the opening ceremony tonight. Tonight is my dinner with Kyleigh and I am really excited to sit down and talk to her. Its been a long time since we have actually sat down and talked about anything so this will be really good. I also have some interviews this afternoon and I am hoping those go really well. We are moving a week from today so it would be really nice to have something lined up by then.

This week I feel like I have gone a mile a minute and been super busy. A lot of things fell apart and its been very stressful. Jarr left yesterday to go to his grandparents 50th wedding anniversary in Colorado. He will be gone until Sunday evening so I have the whole weekend to get everything ready for the move and to spend some time by myself. I can honestly say I'm really looking forward to it, I love my boyfriend and spending time with him but I need some Morgan time. It's just been one of those weeks and it will be nice to have some alone time this weekend to unwind from everything.

I still have to paint my bedroom at the apartment but I will do that tomorrow as well as take the rest of my things besides my big furniture. It will be nice to work on my apartment, I am getting really excited about the move and having my own place. I can't wait to start decorating everything, I can wait to start unpacking though. I have SO MUCH STUFF. It is slightly ridiculous how much stuff I have accumulated in the last 2 years of life.

This is my life motto and something I will definitely be doing this next week to help from going crazy.

Here are the important things for the week

Peaks of the Week- For sure my peaks have been the interviews I have set up for today, I'm gonna be honest I was a little stressed out about finding a job. Having an amazing boyfriend who lets me complain and be whinney when things are going wrong and I need to vent, Jarr has seriously been amazing this week like always. Going to dinner with Ky tonight, I am so looking forward to seeing her and having dinner!

Pits of the Week- this mess with my social security number, to find out about it read my Coffee Table Pinspiration. I've also had quite a few family issues this week that don't need to be discussed on here but have been majorly stressful.

Praises of the Week- I'm praising God for allowing me to have these interviews this week and I know that he will provide the perfect job for me in his time. I'm praising God for all of the amazing friends and people I have in my life. They are seriously a God send and I don't know what I would do without them.

Prayers for the Week- I am praying for safe travels for Jarr and his whole family this weekend and they celebrate his grandparents anniversary. I am also saying a prayer for my cousin Madi who is competing for rodeo queen this weekend. Also, please send up a little prayer for me that my interviews go well this afternoon!

What are your Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers this week?

Coffee Table Pinspiration

I'm going to start this off with a little rant, I normally don't do this but today I need it. I have been getting everything ready for my apartment and the move next week, so yesterday I called about the electricity. After I got over the shock of having to pay a $200 deposit on top of a $25 start up fee I got everything ready for today so I could get the electricity started tomorrow. This morning I faxed my photo ID and social security card with all of my account information to the office to get it verified so I could start up my account. About 20 minutes later I get a phone call telling me that someone has already used this social security number and now I have to go to a social security office and get it verified that I am who I say I am. Let me just tell you I almost yelled at the man on the phone. I am 20 years old and someone decided to steal  my identity when I was 4, I learned this last year when I started our electricity at my house with my roommates. I had to go through all of this last year and now I get to deal with it again.

I am so mad at America for this even being a possibility. Every single American citizen is given a social security card and it should be in a huge database with THEIR names next to it. If someone tries to use one of those social security numbers and the name doesn't match it should be flagged. I have a social security card with MY name on it. I have used it for COUNTLESS things during my 20 years of life and when I was in the hospital for 3 weeks we didn't have one problem with this.

So now I am having to jump through a bunch of hoops to verify I am Morgan McMullen and this is my social security number. I personally think this is ridiculous and just because some slim ball decided to steal MY number doesn't mean I should be punished. But back in the 90's people didn't check to make sure you had the correct social security number they just assumed it was yours. So I get to spend my afternoon going to the social security office and proving I am myself. This whole thing is so frustrating to me and makes me want to go find the person who did this and smack them around a little, I know that won't solve anything but it would make me feel better.

Well now I guess I can tell you what this post is really about. I finally found a coffee table that I am going to redo. I am really excited to get started on it and to hopefully finish it up before the move next week. So of course the first thing I did when I found my coffee table was search Pinterest to find exactly what I wanted to do. I have been searching for awhile to find exactly what I want to do and I think I might have it finally figured out. This isn't the exact coffee table but it will work and I didn't have to pay a dime for it!

Okay y'all I love this coffee table. I adore that color on the top of it and I like how it is two toned, I've been digging that lately. This post is really about the Nester's lovely striped curtains but it had the best picture of her beautiful coffee table. I am really digging the round coffee table and I like the funky piece of wood/antler/I'm not sure on top of it. I think this is super cute and I personally love everything in the Nester's house. She has some gorgeous stuff going on so go and check her out over at Nesting Place.

I love neutrals in the living room. I think it is really smart to go with neutral colors when it comes to your couch because it makes things so much easier to decorate around and if you change your mind about your color scheme then you don't have to buy a new couch. I love this coffee table because it can also be a comfy foot rest, I'm all about putting my feet up. I also love the trim on this piece around the bottom, I think it ads an extra ump to it. I found this beauty over at Kristie's blog The Decorologist, she has some awesome tips for decorating and how to stage your home if you are trying to sell it. Make sure and check her out for more great ideas!

The thing I like the most about this coffee table is that the top was left wood and wasn't painted. I also really like that the painted part is white so that makes it really versatile when it comes to what color scheme you are using in your living room. It makes things really easy to change out if you want something new. I love how it is really distressed and you can see the wood showing through the paint. I am a BIG fan of this coffee table and the fact that it's round also makes me love it more. To find out all about Kristine's lovely coffee table and the rest of her home makeovers go and check out the Painted Hive.

I love old trunks, I have a serious obsession with them and someday in my future big house I will have loads and loads of old trunks everywhere. I have an old trunk that came with my family from the mother country that my great grandma gave me. It has all of my special things in it that I want to remember. It is at my house with my momma but very accessible. I love the idea of putting a trunk in my living room as a coffee table but my trunk is black and I wasn't planning on using black in my living room. So even though I really love this idea I would have to find a trunk to use since there is no way I would paint mine. It is a family heir loom, so no painting. I just loved this idea though and had to share it with you lovelies. If you like this idea too you can find even more great ideas at Decor Pad.

I hope you don't mind the rant from above, I needed to get it off of my shoulders. Thank you for all of your support I really appreciate it ladies. Have a blessed day and let me know what your favorite coffee table is!

Healthy Choice Challenge Week 7

So last weeks challenge of doing some form of exercise, how did it go? Was it really tough to add in that little extra thing into your busy schedules? Or did you just add a little something to your day and then go on without a hitch. Last week as my part of this challenge along with my regular workouts me and Jarr painted my apartment and rode our bikes a few miles one evening. So we added in a little extra last week but that never hurts.

Things have been pretty crazy for me lately with our move coming up, I'm trying to get everything ready and in order so we have a smooth move. I have a few more interviews lined up and some crazy things with my job have been happening but I'll tell you more about that when I know more. I am just putting everything in God's hands because I know he will take care of me.

With our move coming up we have been doing lots of cleaning at my new apartment and at Jarr's current house to get everything ready. We painted my kitchen and living room at my apartment and now I have to go back and do my bedroom but we are almost finished. I also want to repaint the trim work because it's pretty rough, then I want to deep clean everything and fix up the backyard. So I still have quite a bit of work ahead of me before I move everything next week but I think I can do it.

If you are new to the Healthy Choice Challenge then check out the other weeks to find out what is going on, Healthy Choice Challenge Week 1, HCC Week 2, HCC Week 3, HCC Week 4, HCC Week 5, and HCC Week 6. Also don't forget to grab the button on my sidebar if you are participating!

I found this cute banner over at Get moving Princess, Jasmine designed it! She also has her own story about being healthy and getting fit. Be sure to go and check it!

This is so true, so I hope I can be your motivation to start making healthy choices and it will become a habit. Then you will make progress with your life and not even know it.

My challenge for this week is very similar to a challenge we have already had. I hope that you have all been drinking more water since our challenge in week 2 but if not here is another chance for you to start! This week's challenge is different then Week 2's challenge. It is directly in line with the first quote above. "You are not hungry you are bored, drink some water and learn the difference." I have a HUGE problem with this, I think I'm hungry but really my body is just thirsty or I'm bored. So I snack a lot and that is a problem. The challenge for the week is for one whole day to drink a glass of water before you snack/eat. This will help with portion control big time and it will also help you notice if you are really hungry or if you are just thirsty.

I'm going to be honest, this is hard for me. I struggle with this often and I have been trying to work on it. So I'm right there with you saying ahhhhh nooooo! I like to snack and I don't want to drink water, but lets be real here, we need to be healthy and this is a good way to do it. So here we go, good luck on the challenge!
Let me know what day you are doing your challenge and I will try to give you encouragement throughout the day!

Desk Chair Face Lift

I FINALLY finished my desk chair makeover from my Chair Pinspiration. I've had the chair finished for about a week but I needed to put the seat on and the drill happened to disappear the day I needed it so I had to wait to get it back. So yesterday afternoon I finally talked Jarr into helping me put the seat back on and now it is finished! I am so happy with the finished product of  my chair. It is fun and unique and I love it.

This is the chair I started out with, I bought it at the local thrift store. It has great bones and was in really good shape.

That's right this baby was only $3.00 and I snatched her right up. I've been looking for a desk chair for about a year and I was so happy when I found her. She fits perfect with my desk and she was only $3! So after some debate on what color to paint her I just jumped in and started painting.

First I painted her a light gray/blue color which you can't really see right here and I hated it. It's just very blah and I couldn't find any fabric that matched her well so I decided I might as well take a chance and paint her a bright color like I wanted to in the beginning.

So I spray painted her yellow :) this is Krylon Bright Idea. This is my favorite yellow because its not so harsh. It took about 2 cans for me to get her completely covered and I am very happy with the way she looks now.

Here she is complete, I love the bright yellow with this fun print. I found this fabric at hobby lobby on sale and it is the exact color I am using in my bedroom so I snatched it up. I went to recover this chair and started taking off the top fabric. Little did I know this beauty had already been made over a few times. She had 4 different layers of fabric on the seat so I decided to leave it and add some more cushion, I used my leftover quilt batting from my Mini Stool Makeover then stapled it all down. I put the fabric on and stapled that on securely and then it was time to put the cover back on the seat.

Here she is from the back, I'm guessing there used to be something in the middle of the back but I like her the way she is. I think that with the bright color and fun pattern she has lots of personality and doesn't need anything else.

Here is a better look at the fabric and the details she has on the chair back. I think she turned out great and as of right now I won't be distressing her but that might change.

What do you think about the bright color and fun fabric?

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

Well this week has been a whirlwind. I got the keys to my apartment and Jarr is signing his lease today and getting his keys. I have a few interviews for jobs this afternoon and then we are painting my apartment! I got to have lunch with one of my best friends this week and she helped me apply for some more jobs. I just love having great friends! The clock is slowly ticking down as the time for me to move is coming. I only have 7 days left at work and a lot of things to finish in those 7 days.

This is me and Skye, we always have such a great time together!

I am going to the lake tomorrow to relax with my family because I think I deserve it. I usually live at the lake during the summer and I haven't been once all year! It makes me sad to think I haven't stepped foot in that dirty water yet this year. I've been so busy with work and planning our move that I just haven't had much free time to go. It will be nice to work on my tan and to spend some time with my family.

Last night we packed up Jarr's truck so we could start moving some of our things today. After we paint my living room tonight we will unload all of my stuff and this will start to seem real. It's crazy that all of this is happening, if you would of asked me a year ago if I thought this would be happening I would of said no. Things have changed so much for the better in the last year of my life, I have learned a lot about myself and what kind of people I want to be friends with. I am excited to see where this new chapter in my life will take me, I hope you stick around for the ride!

Now onto the important things.

Peaks for the week- for sure was having lunch with Skye and hanging out on Tuesday. I missed her so much! Also today, painting my apartment and moving things in is really exciting for me! And one more, having dinner with Jarr's family last night. I really love spending time with them, they are the greatest people and I'm so lucky to have them in my life.

Pits for the week- I still don't have a job! Although after today and my interviews that might be changing. I know that God will provide the perfect job for me I'm just very anxious for it to show up.

Praises for the week- That God has given me such good friends that I can go months without seeing and when we do see each other it's like nothing has changed. I am so blessed to have a friend like Skye in my life and her boyfriend Kyle is one of Jarr's friends so it is great to have them as friends! Also, for all of the things I have learned in the last few years about myself, my passion in life, and my goals for my life.

Prayers for the week- that me and Jarr don't destroy my apartment in our painting adventure tonight and that my interviews go well. I also pray that my last week at work goes well next week.

I'm going to start a list, kinda like a bucket list, soon and you'll be hearing about it. My 30 before 30 challenge for myself.

What are your Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers this week?

Chalkboard Spray Paint

I've been working on lots of little projects for my new place and this is one of them. I had never used chalkboard paint until this experiment and I am really happy with the way it turned out. One day on one of my many garage sale adventures I found a cute little mirror that I thought might be perfect for my kitchen. So I snatched it up for a dollar and brought it home. I knew exactly what I was going to do with it. I have always liked chalkboards and wanted to paint one of my walls in chalkboard paint in high school and my mom said no (which now my little sister has one). So I've been longing to have something in chalkboard paint.

When I bought this lovely lady it was because I liked the frame. However, I didn't like the fact that is was gold. So I did what everyone does and spray painted it. Well what everyone in my mind does.

So after about 4 coats of spray paint this beauty was covered in red. This is Krylon Banner Red, the same red as my bookcase makeover which will also be going in my kitchen so they matched. After I finished with the frame I got out my chalkboard paint and spray painted the mirror. I followed the instructions and let it dry. Then I had to hunt for chalk, you would not believe how hard it is to find plain white chalk. I didn't want side walk chalk and that seemed to be all I could find. So a few weeks passed, like 6, and then I finally found some plain white chalk at Wal-Mart.

So I did as instructed and covered the whole thing with chalk and then wiped it off. Then I wrote my message and now I have a chalk board for my kitchen!

For some reason I couldn't get the saying to show up very well. I also didn't write it on there very hard. I am very happy with my chalkboard though and so excited to put it up in my new kitchen! Help me make some decisions about my kitchen at Big Girl Kitchen.

What have you made with Chalkboard paint?

Healthy Choice Challenge Week 6

Hello lovlies, it's time for this weeks edition of Healthy Choice Challenge. If you are just now joining us get caught up by reading Healthy Choice Challenge Week 1, HCC Week 2, HCC Week 3, HCC Week 4, and HCC Week 5. How did last weeks challenge go, did you enjoy your outdoor challenge and find something fun to do? I'm going to be honest, it was hot here in Oklahoma. I worked on some projects and sweated (I don't think that's a word but it is now) like crazy being outside in the heat. It doesn't cool down here until about mid-night and you can't exactly see what you are painting when you are outside at that time.

Last week Jarr decided we needed to start a new work-out routine since we haven't really been to the gym since the end of May. With harvest and then our vacations we really didn't have any time to go and workout. We are still using the gym at our old college until we move and they have limited hours during the summer. Neither of us want to pay for a gym membership just for a few weeks so we try to make it work.

Anyways, this new workout is kicking my butt. Seriously, this is the first day in 6 days that I haven't cringed every time I walk. Our leg workout is killer, and my arms feel like jello most of the time. Also, my abs hurt when I move, laugh, talk, sneeze, breathe, so all the time. BUT, this is amazing. I love this feeling after starting a new workout and I know that it will all be worth it once I am back in shape.

So in honor of the new workout I am doing my challenge for you this week is to do some kind of workout. You can do anything you want, go swimming, walk around your block, do 5 crunches (yes just 5 is okay) chase your kids around the backyard and run with them, or deep clean your house. I know that last one might throw you but seriously who doesn't sweat up a storm when they clean? And if you are scrubbing your whole house for a deep clean you are getting in a workout.

For some more ideas go and check out Lazy Girl Fitness at Violet Sage. She has some awesome easy workouts you can do while you are doing your normal routine. Seriously go and check her out, she has some awesome workouts that don't take any time out of your normal routine and are super easy and will work wonders!

So go out and do something fun and get a little workout in. Nothing to strenuous, just a little something that will make you feel like crud for a few minutes and then you will feel so much better tomorrow!

Don't forget to grab the Healthy Choice Challenge Button if you are participating!

What are you doing for your workout?

Big Girl Kitchen

As most of you know I am moving into my own apartment at the end of the summer and will be living by myself. To find out more about that you can see my Amazing Blessings and check out my Apartment Pinspiration. So for the first time in my life I will have a home all to myself to decorate and fill with all of my lovelies. Unfortunately this means no sharing of dishes, furniture, bathroom things, and clothes. So I have the opportunity to now get new things for these areas of my life. Every kitchen I have ever used has always had someone elses dishes in it. Now, I have my own dishes, Jarr bought me some for our anniversary and I was really excited about it! I know, who gets excited about dishes? This girl right here who has been crushing on these dishes for a year but couldn't spend the money for no reason.

These are the dishes he got me and I am so excited to use them! I love square dishes and my kitchen is going to be in red so this is perfect. (Yes, these are just from Wal-Mart but they are great) I think Jarr did a great job getting me these babies. He also got me some baking pans and mixing bowls, such a good boyfriend! Now on to bigger and more expensive things. I need some cookware, as in pots. I have never bought pots before so I really have no idea what to look for here. I want some that are heavy duty and will last, I don't want cheap one's that will scorch my food or be useless in a few months. I like to cook and I want good pots that will help me make wonderful food. So I need your help, I'm asking for the advice of women and men who cook everywhere.

This is Paula Deen's nonstick cookware, it is 12 pieces and you can get it at Wal-Mart. It obviously doesn't have everything I will need ever to cook with but it has the basics and that is what I'm looking for right now. Now I love Paula, I think she is a great cook and I love her stuff but these have some mixed reviews.

This is Bialetti Aeternum cookware from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It is 10 pieces and pretty much the same as Paula's above. It only had one review and the lady loved it so that's a plus. I like the white on the insides of the pots, I think that's really cool.

This is KitchenAid Porcelain Red 12 piece Nonstick Cookware set off of overstock. For the most part this got really good reviews. People said it wasn't really heavy but still cooked like heavy cookware and the glass lids were really nice for looking at your masterpiece without taking off the lid. You can view this at Overstock.

So now I need your help, what is your favorite cookware? If it is different from these where did you get it? I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money here as I am just a college student but I would like to get quality cookware since I do a lot of cooking. I would love any and all feedback you have! Thank you so much!

Me, Myself, and I

Well my lovelies I am participating in the Me, Myself, and I link party on Tuesday so I figured I would go ahead and write up my post for it. If you would like to participate just hop on over to My Beautiful, Crazy Life and visit Breanna. She is super sweet and you will love her, grab a button and the list of questions and start answering away! Then come back on the 17th to link up to the party.
Now on to my answers of these lovely questions. I just know you all want to learn more about me right. Right, so here is your chance! :)

1. What is your biggest phobia?
-My biggest phobia would easily be snakes, I have a huge unrealistic real of snakes and I run over them as often as I can. It's slightly ridiculous how afraid I am of them but hey we all have that thing we are afraid of.
2. If you could relive any day of your life, what would it be and why?
- If I could relive any day of my life I would probably pick May 22, 2009. I know I'm weird that I know the exact date but it was the day I was released to start walking again after my car wreck and being in a wheelchair for 3 months. I can still remember the pure joy I felt when my doctor told me I could start walking. I called everyone I knew and I cried with my mom. That night we had a surprise birthday party for my aunt and I stood and walked for the first time with my family and friends. It was in a small bar that serves amazing pizza and a day I will never forget.
This is a picture of me and my aunt that night at the party.
3. If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
- I'm really not sure on this one, I'm only 20 and I know that things will be getting better in my life as I get older. There are so many things I'm looking forward to about growing up but I am also really enjoying college and all of the amazing opportunities I've had in my life so far. I think that my mid 20's is an age I will want to stay at. There's not an age I would want to go back to though, unless I could pick being a little girl.
4. Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
- I don't think I have ever been mistake for a celebrity. I really don't think I look like one but there is someone I look freakishly like. First I should tell you I have 2 sisters and I don't really look like either of them much. I am about a head taller then both of them and I have blue eyes to there green. I also don't look that much like my mom. However, her sister Lana, my aunt I look so much like it is crazy. People always think I am her daughter instead of my mom's. The funny part is her kids don't really look that much like her, just me.
This is a picture of me, my aunt Lana, and Mal my sister.

5. What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
- For sure some Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, also Take a Back road by Rodney Atkins, that reminds me so much of my small town. Survivor by Reba, Scars by Papa Roach, Enough is Enough by Eli Young Band, Undo It by Carrie Underwood. There are so many because I really love music!

Bloggy Awards

Some lovely ladies have decided to honor me with a few awards. I can't even explain how excited and happy both of these awards have made me. I grinned like a fool at work and text Jarr immediately to tell him the great news! I haven't been blogging for long and getting awards for it is something I never expected. I can't thank these lovely ladies enough.

The first award I was given is the Liebster Award, I already received this award a few months ago but thought I would  just put both of these awards together today. To read about the first time I got the Liebster Award check out When Things go from Good to Amazing.

The lovely Erin from Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost, I love Erin's blog. She is living in Ireland right now and has such great posts about her life there.
The Liebster Award is given to upcoming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome.

This is how it works...

  1. Each person must post 11 things about themselves.
  2. Answer the questions that the tagger set for you, plus create 11 questions for the people you've tagged to answer.
  3. Choose up to 11 people and link them in your post.
  4. Go to their page and tell them.
  5. No tag backs!
I am going to tell you 11 things about myself and answer Erin's lovely questions but I won't be nominating anyone else since I've already done that once.

  1. My left leg weighs 3 pounds  more then my right.
  2. I have a pug named Lily who lives at home with my momma.
  3. I love chocolate and usually have some every single day. :)
  4. I played basketball from the time I was 4 until I graduated high school.
  5. I am almost 6 foot tall.
  6. I have really long eyelashes and people often ask me if they are fake.
  7. I love laying out and getting a good tan. (Even if it is bad for me)
  8. I wear a Tiffany's ring every day that Jarr got me for my birthday.
  9. I play slot machine games on my I-phone when I have free time.
  10. I want to live in another country someday.
  11. I want to be a camp counselor some day for a whole summer.
And now for Erin's questions for me.

  1. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? That would for sure be chocolate chip ice cream from Braum's, which is an Okie thing. Best ice cream ever!
  2. Mac or PC? Mac for sure, I love working on mac's.
  3. What is your favorite meal? Easily my grandma's fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra, corn on the cob, rolls, and a big glass of sweet tea.
  4. What is the one song you can't resist getting up and dancing to? That would be Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. I know its ridiculous but I can't help it, that song makes me dance every time.
  5. What is your favorite picture? Share it! My favorite picture is below. It's of me and my two best friends, Skye and Katie. I love those girls so much, this pretty much perfectly describes our friendship. We have so much fun together but I know I can count on them for anything.
  6. What is your biggest pet peeve? When people volunteer to do something and then complain about it the whole time they are doing it. It drives me up the wall.
  7. What is your favorite childhood memory? When we would all go to the lake and camp out. We used to stay in tents during the summer and live out there. It was a blast for sure, I love my family and we had so much fun together.
  8. Do you have any tattoos? Not yet I don't but I am going to get one soon. I am excited about it.
  9. If money was no issue, in what store would you spend the most? This is such a hard question for me because I LOVE clothes with a huge passion. I would probably buy a Mac desktop though. I want one so bad.
  10. Do you have any pets? I have a lovely little pug named Lily who I adore, she lives with my momma though and I see her when I visit. We also have a cat named Markie.
  11. Why did you start blogging? I started blogging as a way to express my creative ideas and as a release from the stress I have in my life.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

I still haven't heard back from any of the jobs I applied to but I have applied for a very interesting internship. I am really hoping that works out, it would be a great opportunity for my career. We will see what happens and I will keep you updated. This week has been very busy for me, I have done something every day after work and I'm ready to go home after work today and relax. I've been behind on some of my projects because of this but I plan on working on them tomorrow.

Today at work it is one of my coworkers last day. He has worked here for 12 years and accepted a job that will be better for his career and family. We all understand that this is a great opportunity but it is definitely going to change things in my office. A lot of things are being shifted and responsibilities are being handed out. It will be interesting to see the changes that come in the next few weeks before I leave. I only have a few short weeks left at this job and then its time to move on to new things. I am a little worried about the new adventures ahead of me but I know it is for the best. I have to do what is right for my future and sometimes that means not doing the easy thing. It will be hard to leave this job, I've worked here for 2 years and I am very comfortable here, I've also made a lot of friends in my office and it will be sad to leave them.

Yesterday I decided to do something that I normally wouldn't do. I took a leap of faith and text my best friend from high school. We have been friends since we were 5 but after we graduated and went to different colleges we just kind of drifted apart. We both joined sororities, had boyfriends, and were busy with work and school. We never had a fight or any reason to stop talking, it just kind of happened and the weeks of  not talking turned into two years.

This was us on our way to our senior prom.

Well my older sister got engaged this year and the first person I text was Kyleigh. She's been my best friend my whole life, and I knew she would understand better then anyone how exciting and scary it was. So we talked for a long time yesterday, about  how much we missed each other and how we wanted our friendship back. I am so happy to say that we have made plans to have dinner and get all caught up. A lot of things have changed in the last two years, we have both changed but she will always be my best friend. Even when we weren't talking I knew I could call her for anything, we have always had a special relationship and it was sad to see us drift apart. So I am excited to see her again and reconnect, so much has happened in our lives the last two years and the more I think about it I realize how much I've missed having her to share everything with.

This is a picture of us at our graduation party, yep we were those best friends that did everything together. I can honestly say I don't have one good memory from high school that she isn't in, we always did everything together and supported each other when we weren't in the activity.

Now onto the important stuff that you want to know about. ;)

Peaks of the week- this week has been great, so many good things have happened. Talking to Kyleigh is my biggest one this week, setting up plans to have dinner and reconnect is such a big deal for us and I'm so excited for it. Also, getting my apartment this week and knowing I have a place to live is such a relief. I also got a hair cut this week that I LOVE so much! I am really excited about it, I decided to be adventurous with it and I'm really glad I did.

Pits of the week- my older sister Mal, got her storage unit broken into this week and someone stole all of her clothes and shoes. I know, who the heck would do that? She had TVs, couch's, home decor, a washer and dryer in there and all they took was every article of clothing in the place. Also, Jarr's air conditioner has decided it only wants to work half of the time so it didn't work most of yesterday but came back on last night. It's being so weird this summer and last summer it was a lot hotter so I don't know what its deal is.

Praises of the week- I am praising God for providing an apartment for me. I am praising God for making me humble and giving me the courage to text Kyleigh. I am also praising God for the many blessing he gives me everyday that I take for granted, walking, having food to eat, having a job, being healthy, and the amazing people in my life.

Prayers for the week- I pray that I have the patience to not loose all of my hair before God provides the right job for me. I am praying that God helps Mal either find all of her clothes or provides a way for her to restock on winter clothes.

What are your Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers?
