Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers

Its been a crazy time for the last month with all the getting married, honeymoon, and moving to a new town. We are definitely starting to get settled into the new house but things are still a little chaotic. I am so glad to finally be back in a normal schedule though and to be home. I am loving the married life and being home with my fur-babies right now. So now for my peaks, pits, praises, and prayers of the week.

Peaks- The rain has been SO nice this week, it has rained a little almost every day and we haven't had to water anything and its been really nice.

One of our gorgeous wedding photos! Our photographer and location were amazing!

Pits- The rain. Haha I know how does that make any sense with my peak. Well I haven't been able to get some of the things I really wanted to do done this week because of all the rain. But that's okay its been nice to just spend some time inside with my fur-babies.

Praises- That I have such an amazing husband who has been taking care of us and providing for us. I am so blessed to have such a great husband who is giving me the time to find a job that I really want.

Prayers- Jarr is taking a class this summer and has his first test tomorrow. That he passes and does well and doesn't stress himself out about everything.

Fun Friday- Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

This week has been crazy busy at work with the closing of the month and we have been packing up the house every evening to get ready for our move. So things are starting to get a little hectic and we are starting to look like chickens with our heads cut off running around. We are in the middle of all this craziness and one of my really good friends from high school is getting married soon so this weekend we are having a bachelorette party for her. So I'm going to share a few gift ideas that I thought were super fun.

This is such a cool gift idea, I definitely might steal some of the things in this gift for my gift on Saturday! I think this is funny and would definitely be a great gift for a bachelorette party!

This is hilarious and I have seen this before at a bachelorette party, it was amazing. We all had a great time watching the girl walk through a hotel lobby carrying this bag!

This is a super fun gift idea and could be used on any bottle of alcohol or wine, this would be a great gift for anyone over age!

Now let me share my Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers for the week.

Peaks- We have gotten SO MUCH done with the packing and getting ready to move out of our house. I'm really proud of all the stuff we have gotten accomplished.

Pits- Our house looks super empty, Remy is really confused, I'm starting to not be able to find things anymore.

Praises- We are so BLESSED to have so many amazing people support us in this crazy life. We have gotten so much love and support and it blows me away. We are beyond blessed and I am so thankful for the support we have in this transition period of our lives.

Prayers- That we don't loose our mind in this crazy transition. We have another week of crazy before we move and Jarr starts finals this week. So prayers that he passes and will still have a job at the end of this.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers

This week we have been preparing for a garage sale and working on wedding things. We are going to try and get our invitations out on Monday and my goal is to have all of the flowers, my garter, and some decor for the wedding finished by the end of the week. So far I have the flowers all finished and will be posting a DIY Wedding Bouquet post next week. We are getting really close to the wedding and moving and changing everything and its starting to get a little crazy around here.

Sneak peak of the DIY Wedding bouquets I will be posting about!

Peaks- We have gotten so much accomplished this week! We are packing up the house, working on wedding stuff, and getting ready for a garage sale bonanza. I am so proud of all we have gotten done though, its been a very productive week.

Pits- Everything is getting boxed up and it  makes our house look less like a home and more like a boring rental. It's slightly depressing to go home to a place that doesn't look like your home but it will be so nice when everything is ready to move and we don't have to worry about last minute packing.

Praises- We had AMAZING wedding showers the last two weekends and got so many wonderful things from our friends and families. We are definitely beyond blessed with love and support.

At one of our showers!

Prayers- That Jarr does good on his finals and doesn't stress too much about everything. That our garage sale goes well and we can get rid of a lot of our things we don't need anymore. That the move and new transition goes well and we can all stay stress free and as calm as possible.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers

Since yesterday I posted about a Bad Weather Emergency Bag I thought I would share with you my Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers today instead. This week has been a little crazy with wedding stuff going on, we wrote all of our thank you cards for the shower we had last Saturday, I got all of my bridesmaid gifts in and taken to the next stop along the gift line, we are trying to get our wedding invitations all put together and mailed out, and we have another shower tomorrow afternoon. So this week we have been in full on wedding mode at home, check out our week recap though and see all the things I talked about here.

I talked about Hydration on Tuesday and how important water is to our healthy living journey.

On Wedding Wednesday this week I talked about all of the wedding cake varieties and how you can please every guest with these options.

I shared with you my closet lust on Thursday and it make me very jealous of their amazing organizational skills.

And of course my emergency preparedness bag from yesterday. I really want to encourage all of you to take the time to make one of these and be prepared for anything that might happen. This is really a lifesaver when you are in a rush to get to safety. You have everything you need right here easy to grab and go.

Peaks- This week we did accomplish a lot of wedding things that we needed to get taken care of. A big peak was that Jarr had a huge final presentation this week for school and he is now finished with his most important class presentation which is a huge relief.

Pits- The weather has been a little crappy in Oklahoma, we have gotten a lot of rain which we needed but it has been cold and gloomy most days this week which is slightly depressing.

Praises- We are praising God for all of the wonderful people in our lives who have been supporting us through our engagement and who are throwing us showers and being there for us. We are very blessed to have so many amazing people in our lives.

Prayers- My mom is trying to sell her house, the house I grew up in and she has had a lot of showings this week. That the right person will buy her house and give her the opportunity to move on to new things, as well as give her an offer she deserves for her home.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers

I'm going to start off this weeks Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers with a little weekly recap of everything you can find on the blog from this week. I gave a little update about our Spring Break Vacation, there was more information about Getting Physical for our Healthy Living Journey.  For Wedding Wednesday this week I talked about Wedding Favors and if they are a thing of the past or still something couples should do. I also shared my lust over some gorgeous Bathroom Dreams I've been having for my future home.

Eli being a snuggle bug.

Peaks- I am really loving the warm weather we have been having here in Oklahoma. It is giving me the opportunity to wear fun dresses and mix up my style.

One of my #OOTD from this week, rocking dresses and royal blue.

Another OOTD for this week, rocking dresses almost every day this week!

Pits- This weather although I'm loving it we are having some bad tornado activity and that just makes me nervous.

My Sweet Remy being a snuggle bug.

Praises- We are one week closer to the wedding! I am so ready for us to be married and to be able to start this new chapter of our lives together. Also, we have our first wedding shower this Saturday and I'm very excited to see some people I haven't been able to see in a while.

Prayers- For my grandma, she was diagnosed with COPD about a month ago and she quit smoking and has been struggling with it. Just that she will continue to be strong and that she will find strength within herself. Also for all of this crazy tornado weather and that everyone is weather aware and careful.

My cousin's puppy, Dally, I got to snuggle and love on at Easter last week.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

Well another week down in the calendar and we are one week closer to Jarr finishing up school. It is crazy to me that we have spent so much of our lives going to school and we are both almost finished with school for good. Well, for now, who knows what the future will hold and if I will end up getting my masters someday like I had originally planned. Right now we are just looking forward to both of us working and being able to pay off our student loans and save money. We have big dreams and I think if we can manage to stick to our plan we should be able to get there.

So this week ends with a fun bang, its Easter Weekend. For us that means lots of family bonding time with my family on Saturday and Jarr's family on Sunday. We will have a great time seeing our families and getting to spend some time together. It is always fun when we all get together and spend a few hours catching up.

My sweet snuggle bug Eli.

Peaks- This week the weather in Oklahoma has been sunny and warm and I have loved every minute of it. It is really making my job of working inside difficult but the few rays I manage to catch every day and wonderful and I am LOVING dressing for spring.

Remy is getting so big.

Pits- My pit however has to do with the weather also, in Oklahoma when we get nice weather like this we also usually get tornadoes. Which is no fun and very scary for a lot of people. We have had some really bad tornadoes in the last few years here in OK and I'm ready for that part of this season to be over with already and we are just seeing the beginning.

But she is still a snuggle bug!

Praises-I'm praising God that even though we had a tornado last week there were very few serious injuries. The damage was not nearly as bad as a few years ago and everyone seems to be getting more prepared for the weather.

Jarr and I on vacation a few weeks ago!

Prayers- I'm praying that this tornado season goes by quickly and that we don't have any more destruction by them this year. I am also praying for safe travels for everyone over this wonderful Easter Weekend and that everyone remembers what this weekend is really all about.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

Well its my favorite day of the week, Casual Friday!!! So I might have taken big advantage of it today and rocked a baseball cap to work, BUT it's a cute hat. This week has been a hot mess of not being home until after 10 every night and going straight from work to the hospital. My grandma is in the hospital and she was diagnosed with COPD, which for those of you like me who don't know medical terms that is basically lung disease.

If you like my hat check out Sister Act 3 for other styles! And yes this is a work bathroom selfie. :)

My grandma has been a smoker for almost 50 years, she hates the doctor, needles, medicine, being away from home, and generally anything associated with the medical field. So this has been an interesting experience for all of my family. My family is very close as I have talked about several times before so this is hard on all of us.

Today I'm rocking the chucks and boyfriend jeans.
Another big thing happening right now for my family, I told you a long time ago about a New Adventure  we were starting. Well my aunt has had a clothing store for the last 8 months in my hometown. She was renting a building but has recently bought a building and the grand opening is tomorrow! I am so incredibly proud of her and this adventure she has started on, plus I am having an amazing time helping getting merchandise for the store and myself. ;)

My new purse that also came from Sister Act 3!

So this week I've had a lot going on and I have a big list of Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers.

Peaks: Getting to spend so much time with my family, even though its in a hospital with my grandma all of us being together has really been a wonderful blessing. We are one week closer to wedding time and next week we are meeting with photographers!

Pits: I haven't been home before 10 almost every night this week, so I miss Jarr and I miss my fur babies. We haven't seen much of each other and its definitely been hard. Plus I really miss sleep.

My sweet girl waiting for me to get in bed.

Praises: My aunt is having her grand opening for her new store tomorrow! We are so incredibly blessed everything came together so quickly and she had so much help from amazing friends to get everything ready to open. Also, that my grandma did finally go to the doctor and is getting the help and care she needs to become healthier.

Prayers: That my grandma will listen to her doctors, quit smoking, and start living a healthier life. That my aunt will be successful with her new business adventure and that she will continue to enjoy what she is doing. Also, that Jarr and I don't forget what all this wedding madness is really about, becoming husband and wife.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, and Prayers

Well it’s Friday! My favorite day of the week. Today is a special day for my family because it’s my momma’s birthday. She is turning 50 today and just keeps getting better with age. So this weekend will be spent with the whole fam bam and we are having a big birthday party for all of the birthday’s this month. We have several, like 8 people whose birthday range from February 17th to March 5th so we are having one big celebration as long as a blizzard doesn’t come in and change any plans. Here are my peaks, pits, praises, and prayers for the week.

This is my beautiful momma, doesn't she look amazing for 50?!?!

Peaks- I got a new car on last Saturday! I was rear-ended on my commute home and it ended up totally my car in the process. But I’m looking at it with a positive note and enjoying the new car I got! It was a slightly frivolous purchase for me but I figured you are only young once so I should enjoy it, right?

It might be slightly frivolous but its so much fun and I'm absolutely in love with my car!

Pits- it has been freezing cold outside here, like snowing and below freezing temperature all week and the snow is coming in today as well. So winter wonderland, I’m ready for it to be gone and to have spring again.

Praises- I’m praising the Lord that he kept me safe during my fender-bender and no one was injured. I have been seriously injured in a car accident before so it was a little terrifying. I’m also praising that everyone has been safe in this crazy weather. It has been pretty bad on the roads but for the most part people have kept the accidents low.

Here is a picture of my sweet Remy girl, she's such a snuggle bug!

Prayers- As this crazy weather comes in today and all weekend in Oklahoma that everyone stays safe. That my family traveling in for our big birthday bash is careful and that if we all get stuck its together and we have a lot of fun.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

Well it was finals week for me and Jarr so this week has been a little rough. We haven't had much sleep and we are both pretty worn out. Today is our last real day together until he comes back at the end of the summer. I have to work all day and then we move him tomorrow. It will be good for us in the long run, last summer this was good for our relationship. It really helped us appreciate the time that we did have together and to value that time more. We spent a lot less time on our electronics when we were together and a lot more time actually together. So for this week here are my top peaks, pits, praises, and prayers.

Sweet Remy staying up with me while I finish my last paper, she is worn out from her doggie daycare interview.

Peaks: Finals are OVER!!!! Woooohooooo I cannot express my relief to be done with school for the year. We both had some really tough classes so this is a nice break for us.

Pits: That means that Jarr leaves tomorrow for the summer. He will only be 4 1/2 hours away but we both work full time and we won't know what his weekend schedule will ever be like so it could be a long time without seeing each other.

Praises: I passed my hardest class! I was really worried about passing it because I'm going to be honest, Spanish is not my forte. Three semesters of it and now I am finally done. I cannot thank the Lord enough for helping me get through that.

Prayers: For my sanity this summer, I will be at home all summer with the fur babies by myself. This will be a first with Remy. She is a handful at 5 months as a German Shepherd but she really is a good puppy. I just hope she stays that way when dad is gone and mom is really in charge. We will find out who the real alpha is this summer.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

This week has been a little rough. It's the week back from Spring Break and getting back into our routine has been very tiring. Even just taking off for 3 days like I did can through off your routine. It is nice to be home with my babies though. I definitely missed them while I was laying on the beach.

Peaks: Being home with my family and getting to spend time with my fur babies every day is great!

This is a picture of my cutie pies sleeping after a long day of playing.

Pits: Not being on the beach working on my tan. I had so much fun last week with my best friend going to the beach. It was a much needed break.

My view for a few days last week.

Praises: Having my loved ones be so supportive in my life. Jarr gave me a few days off and took care of our fur babies without any complaint. He stayed home with them and let me have a much needed break.

Prayers: One of my co-workers very unexpectedly lost a family member this week. It has definitely been tough for her and her family. Also my family as we are hitting some major milestones without Matthew this year.

It's always nice to come home to this cutie pie who is still so excited to see you everyday.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

This has been a week of compromises. With the snow storm we have had all week I have missed a few days of work so I stayed home with Remy and worked on homework. Let me just tell you, our little princess is too smart for her own good already. I love the little bugger but as true to most German Shepherds she is so smart you can never fool her twice. She has already learned mine and Jarr's habits plus she knows which one of us is a sucker (usually me).

This is from our trip last summer to Montana, this is Glacier National Park.

While we have been doing lots of training with her we are also just trying to get down the basics of potty training and no barking at Eli. If you missed the story about our new family member check it out.

So far Eli and Remy have been getting along better then I thought they would. They have started to play together which really is Remy jumping on top of Eli and him playing nice. Eli tries to sneak up on Remy when she's not watching and play with her tail. We still struggle with when its to rough and we can't play anymore, Remy doesn't understand that sometimes she bites a little to hard and it hurts Eli. He's gotten better about swatting her away though when she goes to far and they are both learning. I guess this is what its like when you become a real parent and everyone has to adjust. Especially if you have siblings involved.

Peaks: This week I got to spend two days at home and I only had to go to class for half of them. This made my week great. I was able to spend lots of time with Remy and Eli playing and getting to know each other. I also got to spend a lot more time with Jarr then I usually do in a week. That is always nice.

Pits: I missed two days of work this week so that means that my other three full days have been crazy and full. It also means that I'm going to be missing those hours when the next pay period rolls around and I will probably come to work tomorrow so that I can make up some hours.

Praises: I have lots of little small praises, we were safe during the storms this week and warm inside. We have not busted pipes and we had electricity during the entire storm. Also that Remy has decided when its freezing outside we can potty and come right back in, we don't have to explore. Its the weekend and I get to spend all of it with my sweet little family.

Prayers: We have a ball game to go to tomorrow for my little sister, just safe travels for everyone. Also we think Remy might have a UTI or bladder infection so we are going to the vet tomorrow morning. Hopefully our little girl is okay and its no big deal. We've just been having lots of problems with going potty and want to make sure its not something serious. Also I have lots of tests and papers due next week so just prayers for myself to get through the next week.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

This week has been exciting for my little family. We have had to adjust to our new member Remy and learn how to live again with a little one. She is such a little joy and so fun to play with. I am so glad that we have brought her into our family and made her our own. This week has been a week of adjustments for all of us and so far I think we have adapted pretty well. School and work are still crazy and coming home to this little ball of energy just makes things even more interesting.

Yes she does sleep like this with as many toys as she can around her. She likes to touch all of them and have them in close reach of her. She's a little spoiled already.

Peaks: This week my constant peak has been coming home to Remy and having her to play with. She has so much love for us and it is so encouraging to walk in your door after a day at work and see her happy face. She just loves to greet you at the door.

Pits: My main pit this week has been missing my little sisters basketball games. She plays on Tuesday and Friday nights most of the time and I have class on Tuesday nights so I always miss those games. She is a senior so I feel like I'm missing out on so much and I hate not being able to go to all of her stuff.

Praises: Having such an amazing support system through Jarr. He really is so supportive and comforting to me everyday. I can't imagine not having him always praying for me and encouraging me to follow my heart and chase my dreams.

Prayers: I would like to ask for continued prayers for my family. We are healing slowly and just need all the prayers we can get. Losing someone is never easy and everyone heals differently afterwards.

Peaks, Pits, Praises, Prayers

This has been a long week but it has also been a week with many little blessings. Sometimes it's amazing how God hides little blessings throughout your day to show you just how loved you are. Make sure and check in this weekend for the new addition to our family! I can't wait for you all to meet our new baby!

This is me in Australia on my graduation trip from high school.

Peaks: This week I received an I-Pad mini for one of my college classes this semester and that was a major Peak! I get to use it all semester and it has been so much fun to play on! I love all of the cool things you can do on it!

Pits: Monday of this week was Matthew's 24th birthday. He died way to young and too soon. I will forever miss him and he will always be in my heart. That has made this week a little bit harder then most but I know that he wouldn't want  me sitting in misery and wants me out living life to the fullest like he always did.

Praises: This week has been difficult but I'm praising God for all of the amazing family and friends I have been blessed with to keep my spirits up when I am feeling down. I have had so much love this week from them that my heart fills so full and blessed.

Prayers: I would like to continue to ask for your prayers for my family. This week especially has been hard for us and the healing is a long process but everyday I know it gets a little bit easier. My little sister is playing in a basketball tournament this weekend and I am asking for prayers for her team and keeping them safe. Also my cousin is coming home on leave at the beginning of February from being deployed in Korea and I just ask that he has safe travels and makes it home safely.
